Wayne's World Of Woodworking

Hi, I am Wayne Kuhn of Wayne's World of Woodworking, I live in Columbia Md with my wonderful wife and two cats. When we moved here in 2000 this house allowed me to put together a small woodworking shop in the basement about 12 x 30 ft.

I grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore MD where my Dad worked as a tool and die maker in a local factory so tools were always a part of my childhood. My brothers, myself and our friends were always building something be it skateboards, go karts, or forts in the woods.

Dad was also an accomplished woodworker, if the house or yard needed something he would design, build or fabricate it. It was rare to have a repairman at our house with the exception of the tv repair man, only after Dad checked all the tubes at the machine in Reads drug store.

After high school I learned the HVAC trade and a short 10 years later found myself working as a supervisor and needing someting to do with my hands. This began my interest in woodworking.

In 2005 Baltimore Area Turners  was formed and I joined at their second meeting. This began my interest in woodturning. Ten years later, after my terms as president and treasurer, Baltimore Area Turners is going strong and I like to believe I am an accomplished woodturner.

This website is a place for me to show off some of my woodturning, my shop, and shop projects.

Please enjoy, let me know if you have any questions, check back often for updates.
